The Art of Gifting...

The Art of Gifting...

It is getting cold outside and the aroma of upcoming holidays is in the air... For many this does not invite a warm, fuzzy feeling of sharing this precious time with loved ones.... rather it may feel like  an anxious cloud hovering...

Lists are being made, revised.., countless hours of internet search done and credit card charges getting higher and higher…

And once again another holiday season goes by and you may begin New Year with a heavy feeling of how to get yourself out of debt.   Your own vision and goals fade with each credit card bill coming in…and most importantly ... You are robbed of the opportunities to connect, be present and simply enjoy this time.

Do not get me wrong… for years I have been part of the holiday frenzy, shopping the very last second at Macy’s for one more sweater,  socks, perfume or whatever I needed to complete the list…

However for a while now I have been asking why and how we end up in this situation?  Holiday times are special and should be the time for us to recharge and reconnect, and not feel exhausted and depleted.... What I do know - it does not have to be like this, nope, not at all.

Here is what I would like to share... As a health care professional working at bedside,  I witness many human experienes during times of crisis.  What I see over and over again, it is the moments and feelings people most often bring up.  It is never about “one more thing” wrapped up to decorate the Christmas tree.

While I am frequently reminded of this at work,  there was also a personal situation which awakened me to the experience of gifting.   Not long ago I received a gift from an individual - a very expensive, beautiful gift...  I remember being in owe when looking at it.... however the way it was presented, the words said... I knew immediately I would not hold onto it.  I simply could not.

Blend of these experiences shifted me to commit to creating "the art of gifting".   The Art of Gifting is an invitation to simplicity where presentation, elegance and style are  congruent in creating one unforgettable memory.  And what I am here to share - it can be done without the exuberant cost.

Let this be the time for you to pause... perhaps enjoy your cup of latte or tea… and choose to enter New Year with peace, gratitude and thoughtful connections, and gift as such...

At LetSoul, … we are committed to cultivating an exceptional approach to gifting.

We are inviting you to view our LetSoul style gifting guide where we share 5 simple ideas to capture moments and experiences,  and create timeless memories now  and future generations to come…
